A family restaurant on Santa Teresa Blvd. The salsas are Lourdes Barraza's father's recipes from his taqueria in Southern California. The shawarma, toum and sumac come from her daughter Isabella's side. Everything we serve is halal.

The kitchen never split.
Muslim customers kept asking careful questions about cross-contamination with pork. Rather than run two kitchens and ask anyone to take our word for it, we took pork off the menu entirely — every grill, fryer and flat top here is halal.
It cost us some dishes. It also means one table orders from one menu, and nobody has to interview the server before they eat.
